Box truck and van overturn on Dutch roads, no injuries reported

On June 5, a box truck traveling on the A2 near Weert left the curve and slipped into a ditch beside the guardrail. The driver was taken for a breath test and may have fallen asleep. A recovery crew later extracted the vehicle from the trench.

Later the same day, at the intersection of Velsdijk and Wittenbergsweg in Wesepe, a small van was struck from behind by a car, lost control and rolled onto its roof in a nearby field. Two occupants of the van and the car’s driver escaped without injury. Recovery of the overturned van required a makeshift winch system and took over two hours, after which the road was cleared.
