BOXABL unveils Server Pod concept for data center market
BOXABL Inc. has unveiled a conceptual Server Pod design intended to demonstrate how its factory-built construction model could be applied to the data center market. The concept features various enclosure designs for AI and cloud-computing infrastructure, ranging from compact 10-foot and 20-foot units to 40-foot configurations and a proposed 2,500-square-foot ‘Server Tron.’
The company is not currently manufacturing or selling these pods; rather, the initiative aims to attract data center developers and equipment companies for potential custom projects. BOXABL suggests that factory assembly could mitigate industry challenges such as rising construction costs and long deployment timelines.
This move comes as JLL projects approximately 100 gigawatts of new global data center capacity could be established between 2026 and 2030, representing an estimated $3 trillion in investment.
