Boxer Lee Reeves Hospitalized in Critical but Stable Condition After 3Arena Knockout

Limerick boxer Lee Reeves, 31, was knocked out in the 10th round by Gary Cully during the BUI Celtic super‑lightweight title bout at Dublin's 3Arena on August 2, 2026. The defeat, part of the undercard for the Pierce O’Leary vs. Mark Chamberlain fight, left Reeves stretchered from the ring and rushed to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Queensberry Promotions confirmed his status, and promoter Frank Warren expressed ongoing thoughts and prayers for Reeves and his family. Local councillor Sarah Beasley and the Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention group also voiced support, noting Reeves' role as a soldier at Sarsfield Barracks and as an ambassador for suicide‑prevention efforts in Limerick.
