Shakur Stevenson signs with Zuffa Boxing, targets October catch‑weight bout with Devin Haney
Shakur Stevenson confirmed his move to the Dana White‑backed Zuffa Boxing promotion, saying he will appear on both Ring and Zuffa cards. He expects his promotional debut in October, with a potential opponent in fellow champion Devin Haney at a 144‑pound catch‑weight. Stevenson stated his side of the agreement has already been signed and that the fight now hinges on Haney’s camp finalising the deal. He hopes the WBO will allow him to retain his lightweight title under the new arrangement and noted he is not pursuing a WBC belt. The negotiations have involved Bill Haney, who has warned that Haney will not vacate his WBO title until a contract is completed, and the possibility of a mandatory challenger, Keyshawn Davis, being considered if talks collapse.
