Boxing champion couple faces scrutiny over domestic disputes

On a recent broadcast of the JTBC program ‘Divorce Deliberation Camp’, the domestic life of a professional boxing champion couple was revealed, sparking controversy due to the husband's behavior. The couple, who both operate boxing gyms, includes a husband who is an Oriental champion and a wife who reached the rank of number one in world women's boxing.

Despite their professional success, the footage showed the husband delegating most household chores to his wife. He was observed using hand gestures to command her to perform tasks and even threw his socks at her. During the discussion regarding their marriage, the husband stated that because she was born a woman, she should perform ‘women’s duties,’ while asserting that his contribution as a husband was working hard at the gym.

Most controversially, when the topic of divorce was raised, the husband remarked, “I cannot get a divorce. I need to have my slave.” Although he later claimed the comment was a joke, the remark drew sharp criticism from the show's panelists, who described the behavior as disrespectful and demeaning to his wife's character.
