David Benavidez to face Michal Cieslak in cruiserweight unification

Undefeated cruiserweight champion David Benavidez is set to face Michal Cieslak in a three-belt unification bout on December 5. The match will take place at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, and will be broadcast via DAZN pay-per-view and Prime Video.

Benavidez, who holds the WBA and WBO titles, enters the fight with a 32-0 record and 26 knockouts. Cieslak, the WBC champion, holds a 28-2 record with 22 stoppages. A victory for Benavidez would position him to potentially pursue the vacant IBF title and a future undisputed showdown against Jai Opetaia.

The event features a high-profile undercard, including a middleweight clash between interim WBC super welterweight champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. and former unified welterweight champion Keith Thurman. Other scheduled bouts include Elijah Garcia against Tommy O'Toole and Nikita Tszyu making a U.S. appearance.
