Boy George debuts Nova festival tribute song in Vancouver

British singer Boy George performed his new song, ‘We Will Dance Again’, for the first time in public at Temple Sholom, a reform synagogue in Vancouver. The event, held ahead of the Jewish New Year, was attended by approximately 800 people.

The song serves as a tribute to the victims of the Nova music festival massacre that occurred on October 7, 2023. During a conversation with Rabbi Dan Moskovitz, Boy George explained that the inspiration for the track came after visiting a Nova exhibition in London and meeting survivors and victims' families.

In addition to the new tribute, the singer performed the Culture Club hit ‘Karma Chameleon’. The event was organized to recognize the artist’s public support for Israel and the Jewish community. Proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the Federation of Greater Vancouver’s fund against antisemitism. Boy George also addressed recent backlash, stating his intention to perform a concert in Israel this November.
