Boy George pulled from West End musical after AI‑generated pro‑Israel song sparks backlash
British singer Boy George released an AI‑generated reggae track titled “We Will Dance Again” that expresses support for Israel’s military actions in Gaza. Bandcamp subsequently removed Boy George’s profile, citing its policy that music generated substantially by AI is not permitted on the platform. In a video posted to Instagram, George called the platform’s owners “a bunch of c---s” and accused them of yielding to pressure from antisemites.
Amid the controversy, George’s manager Paul Kemsley announced that the singer would no longer appear as King Herod in the West End production of Jesus Christ Superstar at the London Palladium.
