Boy George to perform two concerts in Tel Aviv

British pop icon Boy George is scheduled to perform two concerts in Tel Aviv at the Menora Mivtachim Arena next month, on November 4 and November 7. The first performance is reported to be nearly sold out.

The singer, best known for his work with Culture Club, recently released the single ‘We Will Dance Again,’ a song expressing support for Israel following the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks. Boy George stated in an interview with Israel’s Channel 12 that he has faced professional isolation, threats, and accusations of fascism due to his political stance. He noted that since the song's release, he has experienced canceled collaborations and lost professional connections.

Boy George, whose real name is George O’Dowd, expressed a strong identification with the Jewish community, citing long-standing personal ties and participation in Jewish traditions. He is currently seeking musicians to accompany him for the upcoming Israeli performances.
