Boy rescues pet goat during Antalya wildfire

During a wildfire in the Serik district of Antalya, 12-year-old Fevzi Fırat Aksay rescued his pet goat, named ‘Sarı Kız’, from the smoke and flames. As the fire spread rapidly through the Sarıabalı neighborhood on Monday night, local authorities worked to evacuate residents and homes.

Aksay noticed the goat was struggling to walk due to smoke inhalation and carried the animal on his back to a safe area. The act was captured on video by a bystander and gained significant attention on social media. Aksay reported that he has since treated the animal with water and that its condition is improving.

The wildfire caused damage to several greenhouses, agricultural lands, and three homes, but the boy's actions provided a moment of positivity amidst the destruction.
