Boyacá achieves top national ranking in Saber 11 exams

The department of Boyacá has secured first place nationally in the 2026 Global Index of Saber 11 exams, according to Governor Carlos Andrés Amaya. The department achieved an average score of 271 points, leading the country ahead of Quindío and Santander, which both recorded 268 points.

In the specific category for 11th-grade students, Boyacá shares second place nationally with Santander at 274 points, trailing Quindío, which led with 276 points.

Among individual institutions, the Juan Bautista Villa Vianey Educational Institution recorded the highest average for 11th-grade exams with 360 points. Other high-performing schools included the Institución Educativa Académica de Paipa and Gimnasio Vizcaya de Cómbita.
