Boyacá and Bogotá authorities issue notices to tax and fine debtors

The Boyacá Departmental Government, through its Secretariat of Finance, has published payment orders for taxpayers in arrears regarding vehicle taxes for the years 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. The notification was made via the official website on October 28, 2026. Taxpayers have a period starting the day after publication to settle their debts or present exceptions in accordance with the Tax Statute.

In Bogotá, the Secretariat of Mobility has warned drivers with outstanding traffic fines about potential reporting to the State's Bulletin of Delinquent Debtors (BDME). Reporting is not automatic; it applies to debts exceeding five minimum wages that have been in arrears for more than six months, or to those who fail to comply with established payment agreements. The Bogotá Secretariat of Finance is responsible for submitting this information to the General Accounting Office of the Nation during the first ten days of June and December.
