Boyacá Chicó confirms La Independencia stadium will host fans

Boyacá Chicó has confirmed that La Independencia stadium in Tunja will open its stands to the public for the upcoming match against Atlético Nacional. The game is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., as part of the first round of the Liga BetPlay 2026-2.

The decision follows previous concerns from the club regarding the possibility of playing behind closed doors. Boyacá Chicó had expressed disagreement with such a measure, arguing that playing without fans would negatively impact their social programs involving schools and foundations. Local authorities have since granted permission for spectators to attend the match.
