Boyacá Governor defends security record and honors social manager

Boyacá Governor Carlos Andrés Amaya Rodríguez has defended his administration's security record following criticisms from Representative José Luis Bohórquez. Bohórquez claimed that insecurity in the department is rising and characterized the current security strategy as a failure. In response, Amaya asserted that Boyacá possesses the best security indicators in the country and urged that political discussions remain separate from the upcoming electoral cycle.

In a separate matter, Governor Amaya publicly recognized Daniela Assis, the social manager of Boyacá, during the launch of the third edition of the CosechArte festival. Amaya credited Assis with the creation and persistence of the event, noting that she advocated for its continuation despite recommendations to cancel the International Peasant Culture Festival due to regional difficulties. The festival aims to showcase the cultural and productive wealth of the region, bringing together farmers, artisans, and entrepreneurs.
