The Boyacá Para-swimming League is participating in the National Open Championship held in Ibagué. The primary objective for the athletes is to achieve the mandatory qualifying times required to secure spots for the 2027 Paranational Games, which are scheduled to take place in Córdoba.
The delegation underwent rigorous training at the Olympic pool in Duitama under the guidance of coaches Walter López, Édgar Hely Rojas Penagos, and Jorge Higuera. The competition includes events in the 50-meter butterfly and freestyle distances of 50, 100, 200, and 400 meters.
