Boyacá promotes cultural heritage and seasonal tourism

The Boyacá department in Colombia continues to promote its cultural and natural heritage through historical preservation and seasonal tourism. At the Puente de Boyacá historical site, new institutional efforts are being structured to enhance the region's historical significance. These initiatives include advising on commemorative dates and supporting art exhibitions, forums, and historical-cultural conferences involving both national and international entities.

In the municipality of Guayatá, known as the ‘Garden of the Seven Colors,’ the landscape undergoes a significant transformation during August and September. The flowering of the ‘siete cueros’ tree produces hues ranging from pink to purple, drawing visitors interested in ecotourism and nature. The region is characterized by its diverse landscapes, traditional peasant gastronomy, and various cultural expressions across its 123 municipalities.
