Boyd Exell leads Individual and Team standings in Aachen

Australian driver Boyd Exell has taken the lead in both the Individual and Team standings at the FEI Driving World Championship in Aachen following the marathon phase. Exell, the reigning World champion, is currently seeking an eighth consecutive Individual title and holds a 5.38-point lead over Belgium’s Dries Degrieck. The United States’ Chester Weber sits in third place.

In the Team competition, Australia leads the standings ahead of the Netherlands and Belgium. Exell reported a successful marathon performance despite a slip in obstacle six caused by muddy ground, noting that his horses remained safe and fast throughout the eight obstacles. He will enter the final day of competition, the cones phase, in the final driving position.
