Boyd Gaming reports lower Q3 revenue and net income

Boyd Gaming reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $990.5 million and net income of $124.9 million, or $1.71 per share. This represents a decline from the same period in the previous year, when revenue was $1.0 billion and net income reached $1.4 billion. The prior year's profit was significantly bolstered by a $1.4 billion after-tax gain from the sale of the company's equity interest in FanDuel.

CEO Keith Smith attributed the results to softer demand for destination business in Las Vegas, which primarily affected the Orleans property. Additionally, construction at the Suncoast property caused disruptions. Despite these challenges, the company saw increased play from southern Nevada residents and growth in its Midwest & South segment, as well as gains in online and managed operations.

Total adjusted EBITDAR for the quarter was $319.6 million, compared to $321.8 million in the prior year. The company noted that while August was weaker than expected, September showed improvement. During the quarter, Boyd Gaming returned nearly $180 million to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases.
