Boyko Borisov criticizes government response to drone incident

GERB leader Boyko Borisov criticized the Bulgarian government's response to a recent drone incident near the Kardam border area, specifically highlighting the proximity of the crash to the critical Vertical Gas Corridor. Borisov emphasized that this infrastructure is vital for energy transit from Turkey to Europe and through Bulgaria to Ukraine and Moldova.

Borisov also mocked the professional conduct of defense officials, specifically targeting Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov for wearing a branded "Kineteks" t-shirt during official duties. He argued that defense and security services should command respect through their appearance rather than wearing corporate apparel.

Additionally, the former Prime Minister addressed the political climate, criticizing the "Progressive Bulgaria" party for its management style and accusing the ruling coalition of being ineffective. He also called for increased support for domestic drone and anti-drone system manufacturers.
