Boyko Borisov criticizes US aircraft relocation in Yambol

GERB leader Boyko Borisov addressed the relocation of United States Air Force tanker aircraft from Bezmer Air Base during a visit to Yambol. Borisov criticized the handling of the aircraft's movement, suggesting that the relocation to Yambol created unnecessary political drama and implied that the government and sports minister do not value the local population compared to residents of Sofia.

During the visit, Borisov also announced leadership changes within the GERB party in the Yambol region, naming Nikolay Kostadinov as the new regional coordinator, replacing Dimitar Ivanov. He noted that he waited for the aircraft to depart before finalizing this personnel change.

Additionally, Borisov expressed concerns regarding the security of upcoming presidential elections, suggesting that voting machines could be subject to manipulation. He also touched upon the need for GERB to restructure and recruit new members to revitalize the party.
