Boyko Borisov discusses presidential elections and political history in Ruse

During a briefing in Ruse, GERB leader Boyko Borisov discussed the party's potential role in the upcoming presidential elections. Borisov stated that GERB might support a center-right candidate if proposed by an initiative committee, noting that clarity on the party's own candidacy would emerge in September.

Borisov reflected on his political career, claiming he has “managed” seven governments through his roles as Prime Minister, Sofia Mayor, and Secretary General. He also commented on the political landscape, expressing skepticism regarding the current trajectory of the “Progressive Bulgaria” movement.

Additionally, discussions touched upon the relationship between President Rumen Radev and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as well as internal party leadership changes within the GERB organization in Ruse.
