Boyko Borisov manages GERB leadership restructuring

Boyko Borisov is navigating a period of internal restructuring within his political party, GERB, following significant electoral losses. While the party has introduced new members to its leadership, the changes appear limited to the second tier of management.

Three regional coordinators—Dimitar Vuchev, Stoyan Petkov, and Radostin Tanev—have joined the party leadership, replacing departing members. However, these new officials were drawn from the existing local apparatus rather than the party's 'New Minds' academy, which was intended to serve as a future talent reserve.

Borisov has maintained his core leadership, retaining deputies Tomislav Donchev and Daniel Mitov. Regarding upcoming presidential elections, Borisov stated that GERB will only participate if it can secure a first-place finish, noting that the party will not participate simply for the sake of participation or to enter a runoff.
