Boyko Borisov meets with GERB members to address party stability and policy

Boyko Borisov, leader of the GERB party, has held meetings with party structures in Vratsa and Plovdiv to address internal developments and define the party's political direction.

In Vratsa, Borisov met with members of the MGЕРB youth organization following the departure of regional leader Vladimir Dimitrov and approximately 50 other members. Dimitrov cited dissatisfaction regarding the distribution of initiatives and a lack of support for local projects, such as the ‘New Minds Academy’. Despite these departures, the party leadership maintains that the local structure remains stable and active.

In Plovdiv, Borisov emphasized the need for GERB to return to its roots as a strong right-wing, conservative party. He outlined key priorities including low taxes, financial discipline, private property, and entrepreneurship. Borisov also addressed the upcoming presidential elections, stating that the party will support a candidate capable of ensuring stability and Bulgaria’s European path rather than running a candidate solely to demonstrate political weight.
