Boyko Borisov says Bulgaria’s government faces total crisis

Former prime minister and GERG leader Boyko Borisov accused the current Bulgarian administration of a “total crisis” in all areas. He claimed the ruling coalition misled voters during the pre‑election campaign by promising a return to the lev and linking price increases to the euro, which he said never happened. Borisov blamed President Rumen Radev for deceiving the public and said the government has used fear over topics such as air travel, the euro and the war in Ukraine to gain support. He noted that the presidential election is set for September and that GERG is preparing candidates to contest it, while also criticizing the coalition’s handling of budget and European projects.
