Boyko Borissov promotes Pliša heritage site “Dvor na Kirilitsata” at GERB‑Shumen meeting

GERB leader Boyko Borissov held a working meeting with the GERB‑Shumen leadership at the “Dvor na Kirilitsata” cultural‑historical complex in Pliša, Bulgaria. The discussion covered the condition of municipal structures, organisational work across districts and upcoming tasks. Borissov stressed that “preserving history is a way to keep our national identity” and highlighted investments made during GERB’s tenure to improve local infrastructure and road access to the site and the Great Basilica. He described the complex as having the potential to attract visitors from around the world and to become a core part of educational programmes for Bulgarian pupils and foreign guests, stating, “Dvor na Kirilitsata is a place every Bulgarian should see at least once.”
