Bozdoğan Municipality expands social support services

Bozdoğan Municipality continues to provide social support through its ‘Belediyen Yanında’ (Your Municipality is by Your Side) unit, which delivers direct assistance to elderly, sick, and disadvantaged citizens. Managed by the Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs, the program aims to reach residents in all parts of the district to address their needs directly at their homes.

During August, the municipality provided 31 hospital beds, 13 wheelchairs, and 78 packs of medical diapers. Teams also conducted 58 home visits to assess local needs, provided 27 basic necessity supports, and performed 29 home cleaning services for those struggling with daily living. Additionally, personal care services were rendered, including hair and beard grooming for 289 men and hair care for 84 women.

Mayor Mustafa Galip Özel stated that the municipality’s philosophy extends beyond physical infrastructure like roads and paving, emphasizing that being present for citizens in their time of need is a core element of their social municipal services.
