Bozhanov criticizes Kalushev activities and prosecution transparency

Boyar Bozhanov, co-chairman of the 'Da, Bulgaria' party, has criticized the activities of Kalushev, describing them as 'reprehensible' in relation to the Petrohan case. Speaking on BNT, Bozhanov expressed indignation over the situation but suggested the topic is being exploited for political purposes during the upcoming presidential election campaign.

Bozhanov addressed allegations regarding financial ties, stating that the only known donor was Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev, who provided an explanation for the motivation months ago. He further criticized the prosecution service, questioning the necessity and clarity of a recent press conference held before 12 or 13 expert reports were completed.

Additionally, Bozhanov raised concerns regarding whether the deaths of three individuals at Okolchitsa could have been prevented, suggesting that previous signals sent to the GD BoP and DANS regarding Kalushev's activities may have been neglected. He also commented on the issue of presidential pardons, specifically mentioning Ognyan Atanasov, known as the 'Petriki Escobar'.
