Bozhidar Saraboykov Sets Bulgarian Outdoor Long Jump Record, Fourth in Monaco

Bozhidar Saraboykov achieved a personal and national outdoor best of 8.36 m in the long jump at the Diamond League meeting in Monaco, eclipsing the previous Bulgarian record of 8.33 m set in 1995. His performance placed him fourth overall. The competition was won by Greek Olympic champion Miltiadis Tentoglou, who recorded 8.61 m, with Jamaica’s Wayne Pinnock second at 8.39 m and Cuba’s Jorge Odelín third at 8.38 m. Five athletes surpassed 8.30 m in the event, a first in Diamond League history. Saraboykov’s next appearance will be at the Bulgarian National Championships slated for 25–26 July.
