Bozhidar Saraboyukov aims for double national titles at Bulgarian athletics championships
Bulgarian long‑jump bronze medallist Bozhidar Saraboyukov will compete for men’s and women’s national titles in long jump and high jump at the national athletics championships in Sofia on 25‑26 July. He previously set a national record of 8.49 m in the long jump this season and captured gold in both events at the winter indoor championships. Saraboyukov was also named Athlete of the Month for June, with his coach Dimitar Karamfilov voted Coach of the Month. The pair thanked media supporters and said their focus now turns to the upcoming European Championships in Birmingham in August, planning further training in Harmanli.
Other Bulgarian athletes, including sprinter Kristen Radukanova, high‑jumper Tihomir Ivanov (who withdrew due to injury), and emerging talents Gabriela Petrovа and Aleksandra Nasheva, will also compete, but Saraboyukov remains the headline contender.
