BP Batam reports on licensing and marine spatial application status

BP Batam has reported on its licensing processes through the One Single Submission (OSS) system, noting that 1,182 applications were received between September 1, 2025, and September 20, 2026. Of these, 423 applications have been processed or issued, while 284 did not meet requirements, 276 were returned for revision, and 199 remain under verification.

Regarding marine spatial utilization (KKPRL), the agency recorded 262 applications during the same period. Out of these, 18 have been issued, 222 were rejected, one was returned for correction, and 21 are currently being verified. Ariastuty Sirait, Deputy for Public Services at BP Batam, stated that most approved marine spatial applications are located in the Tanjung Uncang area for shipyard activities.

The high rejection rate for marine spatial applications is attributed to non-compliance with established marine spatial planning. The agency emphasized that all applications are processed based on completeness and compliance to ensure certainty for business actors within the Batam Free Trade Zone.
