BPBD Makassar distributes 3 million liters of water to drought victims

The Makassar Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has distributed over 3 million liters of clean water to combat drought conditions affecting the region. Using 25 operational vehicles, the agency has completed 705 trips to deliver water to 310 distribution points.

The emergency response has reached 8 districts and 58 sub-districts, benefiting approximately 26,888 households, which equates to 92,931 individuals. Muhammad Fadli Tahar, Head of BPBD Makassar, stated that the distribution efforts are being expanded dynamically based on real-time field reports to ensure that basic needs for households, children, and the elderly are met despite limited water sources.
