BPCL launches Bharatgas Lite ZIP premium LPG service, targets 100 cities by Aug 2026
State-owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has introduced Bharatgas Lite ZIP, a premium LPG offering that combines instant new connections with express delivery. The service uses a lightweight, corrosion‑free composite cylinder that features a transparent body, a visible gas‑level indicator and enhanced safety design. It was launched in Mumbai and is slated to expand to 100 additional cities across 24 states by 15 August 2026, bringing the faster, more convenient experience to a broad base of Indian households.
BPCL’s rollout follows similar moves by other public oil marketers such as HPCL, which recently partnered with Swiggy Instamart for on‑demand LPG delivery. The new composite cylinder is marketed as easier to handle for women, the elderly, students and small‑family renters, potentially reshaping the premium LPG segment in India.
The launch was announced by BPCL Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Khanna, with Director (Marketing) Subhankar Sen present. BPCL aims to extend the service nationwide, positioning it as a modern, customer‑centric alternative to traditional steel LPG cylinders.
