BPDP promotes downstreaming of plantation commodities

The Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) is actively promoting the downstreaming of plantation commodities to create value-added products and strengthen the national halal industry ecosystem.

At the Kriyanusa 2026 exhibition in Jakarta, BPDP showcased mentored MSMEs, including Nora Indonesia and Good Craft, to demonstrate how plantation materials can be transformed into diverse products. This initiative aims to provide wider market access and promotion for small businesses.

Additionally, during the Halal Indo 2026 event in Tangerang, BPDP focused on educating the public about the potential of palm oil, cocoa, and coconut. The agency highlighted innovative products such as palm oil-based cleaning supplies and snacks from LPP Yogyakarta, as well as palm-based craft bags from Mandiri Handcraft Langsa. These efforts are designed to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesia's halal industry in the global market.
