BPH Migas and Ombudsman sign MoU to improve fuel service quality
BPH Migas and the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the quality of public services regarding the provision and distribution of fuel and the transportation of natural gas through pipelines.
The agreement aims to strengthen supervision to prevent maladministration in the fuel sector. Key objectives include facilitating data and information exchange, accelerating the resolution of public complaints, and improving human resource competence.
BPH Migas Head Wahyudi Anas noted that the partnership will specifically focus on monitoring the distribution of subsidized and specific fuels, such as kerosene, biosolar, and Pertalite RON 90, to ensure they reach the intended recipients effectively. The Ombudsman’s presence in 34 provinces is expected to allow for faster and more efficient responses to service disruptions or complaints in various regions.
