BPI Danantara implements reforms for Indonesian state-owned enterprises

BPI Danantara is implementing significant structural reforms across Indonesia's state-owned enterprises (BUMN). Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria announced the transformation of Danareksa, which involves streamlining its structure by reducing its more than 50 subsidiaries into a single entity known as Danareksa Investment.

Additionally, Danantara is establishing an industrial estate holding company to diversify revenue streams beyond land leasing. In the banking sector, the agency is working to unify the organizational structure of Bank Himbara and reform Bank BRI by focusing on micro-sector growth and reducing the cost of funds. The agency also noted the successful transformations of BNI and Bank Mandiri.

Separately, PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) has announced its board of commissioners and directors. Led by President Director Luke Thomas Mahony, the company aims to oversee and facilitate the governance of strategic natural resource exports to prevent price manipulation, such as under-invoicing and transfer pricing. The leadership team includes President Commissioner M Syaifurrahman Noer, and commissioners Mari Elka Pangestu, Tony Wenas, and Harold Tjiptadjaja.
