BPK PENABUR Jakarta students visit Banyuwangi for cultural program

Approximately 205 students from 16 BPK PENABUR Jakarta schools participated in the ‘Spirit of Challenge 2026’ program held in Banyuwangi, East Java, from September 18 to 23, 2026. The initiative aims to foster independence, perseverance, collaboration, and social responsibility while introducing students to Indonesian nature and culture.

As part of the program, students visited the Gombengsari Coffee Tourism Village, where they learned traditional coffee processing methods from local residents. This included stages such as seed selection, harvesting, drying, roasting over wood stoves, and grinding.

Additionally, students engaged in community service by sharing knowledge with local adults and elderly residents. In Dusun Papring, Kalipuro, students assisted learners at the Sekolah Adat Kampoeng Batara with basic educational exercises, such as arithmetic, to encourage social impact and mutual learning.
