BPKH launches initiative to encourage Gen Z Hajj planning
The Indonesian Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), in collaboration with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the Harika Foundation, has launched a new initiative to encourage young people to plan for Hajj at an early age. Through the ‘Dai Sejuta Mimbar’ program, the partnership aims to engage Generation Z as digital content creators for religious preaching rather than just passive recipients of education.
The initiative focuses on increasing Hajj literacy and financial readiness among the youth. BPKH is working to drive financial literacy, while BRIN and academic partners provide research on savings behavior, Hajj fund management, and religious information consumption patterns. This collaborative approach seeks to use data-driven insights to make Hajj planning more accessible and relevant to younger generations through digital platforms.
