To improve public understanding of food content, BPOM issued Regulation Number 10 of 2026, which introduces the ‘Nutri-Level’ system for nutrition labeling on processed food. This initiative aims to help consumers make easier informed choices regarding nutritional value.
In support of the government's Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, BPOM has conducted inspections of 198 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) during the first half of 2026. Additionally, the agency provided technical assistance to 76 SPPG to ensure the implementation of good food processing practices and food safety systems.
