BR-101 highway blocked by truck rollover in Palhoça

A truck rollover on the BR-101 highway caused significant traffic disruptions at Morro dos Cavalos in Palhoça on Friday afternoon. The accident occurred near km 231, completely blocking the southbound lane as the vehicle came to rest across the roadway.

The incident led to massive congestion, with queues reaching approximately 20 kilometers in the southbound direction. To facilitate the removal of the vehicle, the northbound lane also faced partial interruptions. The Federal Highway Police (PRF) reported that the driver and a passenger sustained minor injuries, though no other casualties were confirmed.

Traffic was fully restored to both directions after approximately four hours of work by recovery teams to remove the truck and clear the debris from the pavement.
