BR-277 to receive new speed radars in Paranaguá and Morretes

The concessionaire EPR Litoral Pioneiro has begun installing 41 additional speed control radars across federal and state highways under its management. This expansion includes several new locations on the BR-277, specifically in the coastal regions of Paranaguá and Morretes.

In Paranaguá, equipment is planned for km 0 in both directions, km 10 toward Curitiba, and km 12 toward Paranaguá. In Morretes, a radar will be placed at km 45 toward Paranaguá. Additionally, a device is scheduled for km 50 in São José dos Pinhais toward Paranaguá.

The new monitoring points were determined in collaboration with the Federal and State Highway Police, focusing on areas identified as having high accident risks. The expansion was approved by the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT). The initiative follows the concessionaire's observation of accident patterns in these stretches over the last two years.
