BR-290 Road Maintenance Starts in Cachoeira do Sul, Brazil

The National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT) began scheduled road works on the BR-290 highway in Cachoeira do Sul on July 4, extending through July 12. The program includes resurfacing, pothole repairs, signage installation, drainage cleaning, and safety device placement along the stretch. Traffic will be managed with cones, signs, and temporary signal systems, and drivers are advised that work may be delayed by rain. Additional maintenance activities are scheduled on other federal highways in the region, such as BR‑101, BR‑116, and BR‑158, during the same period.

These works aim to improve road safety and traffic flow for local commuters and transport vehicles, supporting regional mobility and economic activity.
