BR-364 highway hit by multiple cargo vehicle fires

A series of vehicle fires has impacted the BR-364 highway, a critical corridor for Brazil's agribusiness sector.

In Alto Araguaia, two trucks caught fire, destroying a load of cotton. Firefighters required assistance from a tractor to move cotton bales to prevent the flames from spreading further. No injuries were reported during the incident.

In a separate event in Juscimeira, a truck carrying soybeans caught fire, causing a partial closure of the highway in the southbound direction. The fire, which required intervention from the fire department and a water truck from the concessionaire Nova Rota do Oeste, briefly spread to nearby vegetation. While some soybeans spilled onto the road, the driver escaped without injury.

These incidents follow a pattern of recent accidents and fires on the BR-364, including large-scale burns in the Jangada section that previously impacted visibility and traffic.
