Brač and Šolta host Mrduja Fest, boosting Dalmatian tourism

From July 9 to 11, the islands of Brač and Šolta will hold the Mrduja Fest, a three‑day event featuring wine tastings from local producers, culinary shows by the ŠKMER Culinary Academy, sporting competitions on the sea, children's programs, and concerts by groups such as Elite, Sandija Cenova and Željko Bebek. The festival, now in its 17th year, attracts thousands of visitors, boats and fans from across Dalmatia and is promoted as a showcase of the region’s gastronomic and cultural heritage.

At the same time, Serbian influencer Dušan (known as "gosn. barna") posted a video praising the nearby island of Hvar, describing its crystal‑clear sea as “like the Caribbean” and highlighting its historic sites, affordable prices and local cuisine. His Instagram post generated a wave of positive comments from followers in Croatia and Serbia, further drawing attention to the Dalmatian coast as a summer destination for regional tourists.
