Büşra İşleker expands agricultural production in Konya
Büşra İşleker, a 27-year-old farmer in the Karapınar district of Konya, has expanded her agricultural operations from an initial 70 decares to a total of 600 decares. After losing both her father and brother at age 17, İşleker took over the family land and worked to settle inherited debts through agricultural production.
She manages the entire production cycle from seed to harvest, cultivating sunflower, sugar beet, corn, and wheat. İşleker manages the intensive labor required for irrigation and pest control, often working long hours to ensure crop yields. She expressed a desire to further expand her business using technology and encouraged other young women to pursue farming.
