Brabus and Sunreef Yachts unveil Ultima 55 hydrofoil catamaran

Brabus and Sunreef Yachts have collaborated to develop the Brabus Ultima 55, a 17-meter high-performance catamaran designed to combine the volume of a multihull with the speed of a sports yacht.

The vessel is powered by two 725 CV six-cylinder engines, providing a total installed power of 1,450 CV and enabling speeds exceeding 40 knots. A key technical feature is the integrated hydrofoil system, which generates lift beneath the water surface to reduce hydrodynamic resistance, improve efficiency, and enhance stability by limiting heel.

The design includes foldable side platforms that expand the beam from 5.6 meters to 7.6 meters, transforming the stern into a large terrace for social activities. The interior features Brabus Masterpiece luxury materials, including Moonstone leather, Alcantara, and exposed carbon fiber. Available layouts can accommodate either four or six guests, along with a separate crew cabin.
