Brabus unveils Bodo Cabriolet hyper-GT with V12 engine

Brabus has unveiled the Bodo Cabriolet, an open-top hyper-GT developed as an independent project to honor the company’s founder, Bodo Buschmann. While the vehicle utilizes the foundations of an Aston Martin Vanquish Volante, the exterior is an entirely original design manufactured from high-strength carbon fibre at Brabus’s Bottrop facility.

The vehicle is powered by a heavily modified 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine, which produces 735kW (approximately 1,000 CV) and 1200Nm of torque. It features an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, allowing for a 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.0 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 360km/h.

Designed with grand tourer proportions, the Cabriolet includes an electric fabric roof that operates in under 15 seconds. Aerodynamic features include a carbon-fibre front spoiler and an active rear wing that functions as an air brake during heavy braking above 140km/h. The car sits on 22-inch Brabus Monoblock Z-GT forged wheels and utilizes KW adaptive dampers with multiple driving modes.
