Brad Gilbert advises Novak Djokovic on form after US Open loss

Tennis coach Brad Gilbert has offered critical advice to Novak Djokovic following the player's early exit from the US Open against Mariano Navone. Speaking on 'The Big T' podcast, Gilbert suggested that Djokovic has not 'cooked enough' and lacks the competitive match rhythm necessary for Grand Slam success.

Gilbert recommended that Djokovic return to the rigorous training and match schedule he maintained three to five years ago. He emphasized that playing more matches is essential to maintaining the 'champion mode' required for major tournaments, regardless of whether those matches are at the Masters level. Gilbert noted that failing to stay active on the court makes it difficult to regain peak form and warned that such vulnerabilities may signal to other rivals that the top of the rankings is open.
