Brad Pitt: A career overview and his history with Chinese censorship

Brad Pitt's cinematic career spans nearly forty years, beginning with a breakout role in ‘Thelma & Louise’ (1991). The actor has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, two Golden Globes, and two BAFTAs, for his work in films such as ‘Seven’, ‘Fight Club’, and ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’.

His career has also faced geopolitical challenges. Following the release of ‘Seven Years in Tibet’, directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud, Pitt and the director were initially banned from entering China due to the film's subject matter. The ban for Pitt was eventually lifted in 2014. The film, which follows the story of Heinrich Harrer and his friendship with the Dalai Lama, is currently available on Netflix.
