The 62-year-old actor credited his ability to endure the period of personal upheaval to the support of a small, trusted circle of close friends and family members.

While promoting his new survival thriller, ‘Heart of the Beast’, Pitt drew parallels between the film’s themes and his own life. He noted that working with survival experts taught him the importance of focusing on ‘small victories’ rather than being overwhelmed by the entire picture when facing significant challenges.

The separation from Jolie began in September 2016 after 12 years together, with the legal dissolution of the marriage lasting eight years. Pitt emphasized that being able to be vulnerable and open with loved ones was essential to his recovery.
