Actor Brad Pitt has revealed that he has ended a seven-year period of sobriety. In an interview with Esquire, the 62-year-old stated that he has started drinking again, though he described doing so in a more restrained manner after previously becoming overconfident about his ability to manage it.

Pitt discussed the emotional toll of recent years, including ongoing legal disputes with his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, regarding their Château Miraval winery, and reported estrangement from their children. He admitted to experiencing periods of intense psychological pain and suicidal ideation during his most difficult times.

Reports indicate that Jolie is not surprised by the news. Sources close to the actress suggest she believed that sobriety did not resolve the underlying issues Pitt faced. The couple's divorce followed allegations of alcohol-related misconduct on a private jet a decade ago.
